Join our theatre community to watch an unrehearsed reading of a new play, musical or screenplay, at the Broadwater Black Box Theatre, 6322 Santa Monica Boulevard, Hollywood, CA on the first Saturday of each month at 2:30 p.m.

 

Up Next:  Mickey Monroe, a screenplay by Harris Shore.  Mickey Monroe was a promising lounge singer in the early 1970s in New York, where he was given an opportunity to perform on the Johnny Carson Tonight Show, generally thought to be a career shotgun.  Tragedy intervened and by the late 1980s Mickey is working as a janitor in a Los Angeles night club when he meets people who knew him in the past and they conspire to help re-launch Mickey's career.
